The counter design is inspired by Japanese aesthetics, emphasizing simplicity and natural beauty. The concept follows Material Honesty, allowing each material to express its true character.
Volcanic stone is used as the main material, creating a raw, natural, and distinctive texture. Warm-toned wood softens the stone and brings a sense of balance to the space. The overhead timber structure is inspired by the grid rhythm of Japanese architecture.
Clean lines and minimal details create a calm and refined visual language. Soft warm lighting highlights the natural textures of stone and wood, following the grid structure to celebrate natural textures and imperfections in harmony with the Wabi-Sabi philosophy.
